Being too lazy to really look everything up, I have Arabic installed on my WinblozeXP system running Firefox and when I type in Arabic
عرابية
it shows up in arabic
Can everyone else see that?
If so, we can have a tribe where students (like, kiddie reading level) can try our hand at reading/writing and printed conversation.
Anyone into that?
Does it work?

Sun, November 5, 2006 - 10:28 PMi can read that, but it's very small and the dots are hard to make out. I don't have arabic installed and i don't have the CD (xp came on my computer) so I don't think i can install arabic. otherwise, i'd join the writing crew. -

I don't believe I can set the type that is displayed on individual systems, alas.
I'm on Firefox and [Ctrl]+[+] increases the font size on the screen. ;)

Just FYI if anyone is interested, you can get Arabic fonts here: www.freearabicfonts.com/Free_A...c_Fonts There are 10 pages of free fonts to choose from.

There are no downloads for the Mac because it is all built in. :-)
All you have to do is going into the Control Panel - International - Input Menu.
From there you can turn on the menu bar option to select languages, and add Arabic to the list. -

I have quite a few fonts installed, but the web is pretty limited since it doesn't 'embed' fonts. What, there's like 4 font families or something...?
Anyway, all the different fonts I use are in word processors or graphics programs and stuff like that.
