hi Astrid
yes, we are looking for modern contemporary arrangements. Initially the company did not want to include singing at all, only fusion electronica, but now after some convincing we are looking to include vocal music.
thanks for the info!

From what I know, Kazem al Saher is extremely popular everywhere. He sings using high/classical Arabic so is understood everywhere in the Arabic world. There is also a Syrian singer called Nour Mehana, very famous in certain areas, who also sings in classical Arabic and used to be a Koran singer. I guess, Oum Koulthoum and Fairuz are not an option for you?

Hello there
I am working with an international company that is providing music for hotels in the Middle East. We are looking include vocal music into our set lists and would like to know which singers/songs are best loved. We are concerned about regions such as Saudi Arabia where vocal music may not be welcome in hotel lobbies and lounges.
So we are looking for great Arabic music that is universally loved and non-controversial.
Any suggestions?

Thank you so much for your help with this
