of Classical and Folkloric Arabic Music (Muwashahhat Andalusiyya and
Qudood Halabiyyah)
This Winter Concert will include 11 musicians and 15 vocalists with
Music Director Saed Muhssin

Free parking is available on campus.

Sunday December 3, 2006, 7-9 p.m.
Tickets:
A limited number of premium seats are available at $100.00 and $75.00
(first-come first-served with vallet parking).
General admission is $20.00.
Student admission is $15.00 with student ID.

My husband and I tried to start a community Arabic orchestra in our area (Colorado), but there just wasn't enough support for it.
Those folks who can play Arabic music well mostly said variants of "that's great, I'm really glad you're doing that, but I couldn't afford to spend that amount of time on a project that has no immediate financial return".
I am thinking lately to downgrade my expectations and just form a group for learning and jamming on a regular base.
I would really love to be in an area that allows me to join a group like this one, though.
